Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Richardson County Criminal History. Reading its content, using a search tool, or visiting any page signals agreement with all terms below. Anyone who does not agree should discontinue use.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, Nebraska, or federal government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. Richardson County and Nebraska record directions are offered only as general reference. This is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves them, performs official checks, or submits filings for a visitor.

Its role is to identify custodians of Richardson County records, including the Sheriff, court clerks, Nebraska State Patrol repository, and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry, and to provide access to optional outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated access tools
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the service

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached here or through a linked tool must not be used to intimidate, stalk, harass, threaten, or discriminate. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. Nebraska Sex Offender Registry data is intended for public safety awareness. It is not permission for vigilantism, retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination, and misuse against a registrant or family may lead to prosecution.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Richardson County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no consumer report, credit report, or background check. Site and partner tools are not designed to assess job applicants, rental applicants, insurance risk, or credit. Information may not be used to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing application
  • Set insurance terms or judge credit
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A legally permitted check for one of those purposes must come through an authorized Nebraska State Patrol process or a compliant consumer reporting agency.

5. No Legal Advice

General Richardson County record information is not legal advice. Only a licensed Nebraska attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, set aside, or sealing rule applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • Information is always complete, accurate, or current
  • Partner search results are correct or comprehensive
  • Pages contain no defects or security weaknesses
  • The service will remain uninterrupted

Charges, dispositions, access rules, and agency procedures change. Gaps can occur, and no site statement should be treated as an official response from the Sheriff, court, Nebraska State Patrol, or another government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to government portals, legal resources, and outside search providers. A destination controls its own availability, prices, privacy practices, and content. Review that service's terms because Richardson County Criminal History is not responsible for them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, code, logos, and graphics belong to Richardson County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Copying, adapting, or distributing them requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for harm arising from site use, including reliance on information reached here or through a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the operator harmless from claims, demands, actions, legal fees, and related costs caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Nebraska law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Nebraska.

12. Changes to These Terms

These conditions may be revised. A revision takes effect when the new version is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in force. The affected term will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
